| Tungsten Automation | Legacy | Kofax MarkView | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Best Buy implemented Kofax MarkView as part of an AP Automation initiative within its Oracle EBS 12.2.7 financial environment. Kofax MarkView was deployed to address accounts payable processing needs and to integrate automated invoice capture and workflow orchestration with Best Buy finance systems.
The implementation encompassed configuration work across core Oracle Financials modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, SLA and i-Expense, together with inventory and order related modules referenced during setup. Kofax MarkView was configured in line with AP Automation practices to support invoice ingestion, indexing, routing for approval, exception handling, and archival, while functional teams defined AS IS and TO BE process flows for procure to pay operations.
Integration work connected Kofax MarkView with Oracle EBS 12.2.7 to enable AP subledger transactions to feed the General Ledger and Fixed Assets modules, and to support end to end posting and reconciliation processes. The project scope included organizational setups such as ledgers, calendars, chart of accounts, inventory organizations and item master controls, with cross functional coordination between AP, GL, procurement and testing teams to finalize end to end scenarios used by business users and QA testers.
Governance and delivery used structured design and validation forums, including JAD sessions, CRP and UAT cycles, and an Agile lifecycle for backlog creation, grooming, daily standups and retrospectives. Business requirements gathering, product backlog management and iterative testing were central to rollout planning and to redefining approval workflows and exception handling tied to the AP Automation solution.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017 Best Buy implemented Workday Absence Management as part of a broader Workday deployment. Workday Absence Management was configured alongside Workday HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation and Performance Management to provide an integrated Absence and Leave Management capability across HR processes.
The implementation covered core absence modules including configurable leave plans, accrual and balance calculations, eligibility rules, entitlement processing, and manager approval workflows, with employee self service for time off requests and visibility into balances. Configuration emphasized policy-driven rules and automated eligibility checks consistent with typical Absence and Leave Management operations.
Architecturally the deployment used native Workday module integration to surface absence events into HCM records, to feed payroll calculation inputs, and to align benefit eligibility windows, reflecting the stated configuration of HCM, Benefits and Payroll. The scope of impact targeted HR operations, payroll administration, benefits administration and performance linked workflows, while governance focused on centralized absence policy definitions and standardized approval routing to reduce ad hoc local variation.

| ContractPower | Legacy | ContractPower TotalBid | Construction Bidding | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, Best Buy deployed ContractPower TotalBid in a Construction Bidding implementation to manage retail store construction and remodel bidding across North America. The deployment focused on procurement and construction sourcing workflows, handling private solicitations, detailed line-item cost analysis, and bid award workflows for store projects and remodel programs. ContractPower TotalBid was positioned to centralize solicitation management and standardize bid submission and evaluation for multiple regional construction teams.
Configuration emphasized bid leveling and analytics capabilities consistent with the Construction Bidding category, enabling side-by-side line-item comparisons, weighted scoring during bid evaluation, and structured award approvals, inferred from vendor feature descriptions. Operational coverage spanned procurement, construction sourcing, and program management functions, with role-based access and audit trail controls to support governance and approval workflow standardization. The implementation targeted reduced time-to-award and lower construction spend as stated in vendor materials.
