SAP Concur Expense was configured to support expense reporting and reconciliation workflows, approval routing and receipt validation consistent with Expense Management functional practices. Configuration work emphasized controls for credit allocation, reconciliation processes to tie sales reports to bank deposits and petty cash entries, and escalation workflows to bring aged debtors within agreed credit terms. Training was delivered to co-workers and management to embed the new operating procedures and to operationalize receipt validation and match reporting.
Governance changes documented during the rollout included a formalized credit allocation process for customers, tightened cheque handling and anti-money laundering procedures, and standardized reconciliation checkpoints for offline payments.
