SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Birla Corporation deployed SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as a core ERP Financial implementation across its business units. The engagement was managed from an IT operations and infrastructure perspective with a 35 person IT team and coordination with more than four vendor partners to plan, budget, and operate the platform and associated services. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance was implemented on EHP 7 and configured to support core financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory reporting, while SAP BPC and BI/BO were applied for planning and business intelligence workflows. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was integrated into a broader application landscape that included financial consolidation and reporting via BPC and enterprise reporting via BI and BO. Deployment architecture combined on premise data center upgrades with a server migration to Azure Cloud, reflecting a hybrid infrastructure approach. The ERP Financial rollout interoperated with a group wide Salesforce CRM deployment covering more than 750 licensed users, and with SAP SuccessFactors based HRMS and IHRMyHR through SAP integration, while collaboration platforms such as SharePoint and Yammer and network changes including SD WAN were implemented to support operational continuity. Governance and rollout were driven by a multi year IT strategy that prioritized HANA readiness, Salesforce expansion and IoT oriented digitization, coupled with centralized planning and budgeting practices. Birla Corporation reported successful implementation and ongoing support of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 alongside the associated BI BPC, CRM and HRMS components across the group.

SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core HR HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Birla Corporation implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform across the group, establishing a single system of record for HR master data and employee profiles. The deployment supported enterprise HR functions including centralized employee data, self-service HR access through IHRMyHR, and organization management, with the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central application serving as the primary Core HR layer. Configuration focused on core HR master data structures and employee self-service workflows, aligning SuccessFactors Employee Central profiles with the group HR intranet and existing HR processes. The implementation included customizations to map organizational assignments and employee lifecycle events into the new Core HR repository, and configuration work to enable integration points with surrounding systems. Integrations were explicit and multi-system, connecting SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to the group ERP SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 7 for transactional HR and payroll-adjacent data exchange, to the Salesforce CRM footprint for user identity and employee access alignment, and to Azure-hosted infrastructure following the organizationwide server migration. The rollout also aligned with the newly launched Group HR Intranet Portal built on SharePoint and Yammer, enabling unified HR communications and links into employee self-service. Governance and operational ownership were centralized within the IT organization, with planning, budgeting, transition and service delivery coordinated by an IT team of 35 personnel and multiple vendors. Change governance emphasized centralized HR master data stewardship, integration orchestration between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP ECC, and structured handoffs to HR operations for ongoing maintenance and role-based access management.
