In 2014, Black Hat began using Explori to run attendee, exhibitor and sponsor surveys for its Cybersecurity event series in the United States. Explori, an Analytics and BI application, was employed to capture real-time feedback and to build attendee persona understanding tied to event registration records.
Configuration emphasized survey modules for event research, real-time reporting dashboards, and persona segmentation capabilities to support fast operational decision making during events. Explori was used to instrument post session and on site surveys and to centralize survey response data for analysis and visualization.
Integration work connected Explori survey outputs with Black Hat registration data, enabling cross referencing of attendee segments and ticketing attributes without naming a specific registration system. Operational coverage was the Black Hat Cybersecurity event series in the United States, with primary business functions impacted including event operations, marketing insight and exhibitor management.
Governance included a regular survey cadence, persona taxonomy alignment and shared reporting for operational teams to act on feedback. The engagement delivered improved event experience measurement and enabled data led operational changes as described in Explori's customer write up.
