In 2024 BMW Canada implemented CDK Drive as its Dealer Management platform, positioning CDK Drive to manage dealer operations across the BMW and MINI retail network in Canada. The deployment is described within the Dealership Management category and is aligned with CDK Global’s certified DMS relationship with BMW Group Canada.
CDK Drive was configured to provide core Dealership Management capabilities, including vehicle inventory management, sales and finance and insurance workflow orchestration, service scheduling and repair order processing, parts inventory and procurement controls, and dealership accounting and reporting. Configuration work emphasized transaction-level integration between sales, service and parts processes to support retail and aftersales workflows.
The implementation integrates with CDK Global’s CRM services already in use across the BMW and MINI Canadian network, unifying customer records and DMS transaction data to support lead to cash and service retention workflows. Deployment architecture follows vendor-certified DMS integration patterns to link CRM and Dealership Management data flows without specifying third party middleware.
Operational governance and rollout were structured to coordinate BMW Group Canada corporate teams and individual dealer IT and management teams, establishing operational ownership for inventory control, service bay scheduling, and financial reconciliation. Change management focused on aligning dealer operational processes with CDK Drive transaction sequences and unified customer data maintained by CDK Global.
