In 2025, BNP Paribas Asset Management deployed Allfunds Blockchain to launch natively tokenised share classes of a Luxembourg money market fund. The initiative targeted a finance/cash management and fund distribution use case to test cross border distributed ledger technology based subscriptions and redemptions between Luxembourg and France and to validate on chain instantaneous order execution.
The implementation configured Allfunds Blockchain to issue tokenised share classes and manage money market fund tokenisation, with workflow capabilities for on chain order entry, subscription and redemption processing, and token custody orchestration. Functional emphasis was placed on enabling instantaneous order execution on chain and maintaining token class lifecycle controls, matching typical fund distribution and cash management capabilities within the application.
Integrations centered on the fund’s transfer agency interaction, coordinating token movements with off chain transfer agency records and settlement processes across Luxembourg and France. Operational coverage explicitly included fund operations, distribution channels and cash management functions in Europe, using the Allfunds Blockchain application to mediate cross border DLT based flows while retaining transfer agency reconciliation as a control point.
Governance and rollout focused on staged testing of cross border subscription and redemption scenarios, alignment of operational processes between transfer agency and fund operations, and validation of on chain order execution procedures. The deployment tested interoperability and operational workflows without reference to a prior named system, with Allfunds Blockchain serving as the issuer and execution layer for the tokenised share classes.
