FIS Relius was configured to support core administration capabilities, including participant enrollment processing, allocation of participant and employer contributions, loan origination and early loan payoff handling, forfeiture processing, and rollover or transfer in transactions. Daily and cyclical activities were executed through Relius, with quality checks on enrollment forms and structured processing for payroll contributions and loan payments across plan cycles. The platform handled standard recordkeeping workflows expected of benefits and pension administration systems.
Operational integrations and governance emphasis included formatted payroll file ingestion, where staff formatted and uploaded clients’ payroll files into FIS Relius as requested, and routine reconciliation work to research and resolve cash and asset exceptions for each payroll and loan payment. Workflows were executed in compliance with applicable regulations, tax laws, and each plan’s governing document, and the Retirement Plan Services team coordinated directly with plan sponsors on contribution resolutions and exception remediation.
