In 2020, MAC TORNERIA Srl implemented Datatex NOW Cloud ERP, deploying MS5 Portal capabilities as its Manufacturing ERP to address growing operational complexity at its Castelfidardo, Marche facility. The company moved to a centrally managed application to resolve inefficiencies in warehouse management, production planning, business performance monitoring and machine interconnection that previous management systems could not support.
The deployment configured core MS5 Portal modules including MES, APS, SCADA and MRP alongside warehouse and production planning capabilities within Datatex NOW Cloud ERP. The implementation included automated data transmission and reception to and from CNC lathes, and configuration of shop floor orchestration and production order workflows to support turned components manufacturing.
Integrations focused on machine-level connectivity and centralized data consolidation, enabling a single source of truth for production, inventory and planning functions. Operational coverage explicitly targeted production, warehouse and planning groups, with the application acting as the Manufacturing ERP backbone for coordination between shop floor automation and back office processes.
Governance and rollout included vendor-led support and training programs from MS5 to ensure adoption, along with process restructuring around centralized MRP-driven planning and real time production control. Post implementation outcomes reported by the customer included improved operational efficiency, greater data accuracy through centralization, planning optimization via the MRP module, enhanced performance monitoring through advanced reporting, and increased automation and productivity through SCADA, MES and APS integration.
