In 2015 Bourne Leisure implemented Planon Universe to support Facility Management across its Haven Holidays estate, initiating a multi-year program to centralize repairs and maintenance workflows. The implementation targeted facilities operations for holiday parks across the United Kingdom and focused on asset, contractor and mobile-enabled field operations.
Planon Universe was configured with the asset management module to support asset data loads and reporting, and the contractor management module to enable on-site contractor check-in and governance. The program also deployed the Planon desktop application alongside a large enterprise mobility rollout, provisioning 1500 mobile devices across 16 sites to enable technicians and mobile users to receive and update work orders in the field.
Operational coverage included asset surveys across 40 sites with a dedicated team of asset surveyors performing data validation to ensure accurate system data loads, and ongoing software support delivered both remotely and on-site. The project worked closely with the internal IT project delivery team, senior stakeholders, holiday parks, and external consultants and the software house, aligning field operations, contractor management, and maintenance planning within the Planon Universe environment.
Delivery followed an Agile framework, with management of system administration, configuration, testing and end to end deployment activities. Project governance included maintained project documentation, RAID logs, plans, schedules and regular reporting, and the team of sys admins, testers, developers and asset surveyors provided post go-live support to stabilize repairs and maintenance workflows and ensure data availability on system reports.
