In 2019, Bouygues Energies & Services Switzerland implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial core to centralize financial processes across its national network. The deployment targeted Bouygues Energies & Services InTec operations, which include more than 4100 employees at over 90 locations and cover electrical engineering, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, sanitation, ICT services, security and facility management across Switzerland.
SAP ERP ECC 6.0 EHP7 was configured as the live core ERP for financial processes and integrated with a SAP debt collection add-on to handle receivables, installment plans and invoicing documentation. The application configuration focused on enabling project managers to enter agreed payment conditions through a controlled workflow, issuing new payment terms to customers while preserving audit trails and documentation in the SAP ERP core-system.
Emineo served as the system integrator and contributed to both the SAP ERP 6.0 deployment and an innovation proof of concept. The POC used SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Conversational AI and SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation to create a chat bot front end and automate interactions between the conversational interface, the SAP ERP core and the debt collection add-on, enabling self-service initiation of payment condition changes.
Governance and process restructuring moved customer-facing payment negotiation actions from the finance department to site project managers, establishing a documented chat bot driven workflow within SAP ERP ECC 6.0. Explicit outcomes recorded in the implementation include project managers executing payment condition changes without finance department involvement and all agreements being documented in the SAP ERP core-system, supporting objectives around reducing administrative effort, solving internal dependencies and presenting one face to the customer.

In 2019, Bouygues Energies & Services Switzerland implemented SAP Conversational AI in the Chatbots and Conversational AI category to enable project managers to self-serve the issuance of new payment conditions without direct interaction with the financial department. The deployment targeted financial process automation around customer payment terms, aiming to reduce administrative dependencies and provide customers with documentation to pay invoices under revised agreements.
The implementation configured SAP Conversational AI as a conversational front end that triggers back-end activities, with the SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 system remaining the live core ERP for financial processes. The solution design included process automation components on SAP Cloud Platform and a proof of concept for SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation, enabling the chat bot to create and document payment condition changes in the core SAP ERP and to coordinate with the debt collection add-on. SAP Conversational AI was used to abstract SAP transaction complexity so project managers could start workflows without deep ERP knowhow.
Integrations were explicit, the chat bot interfaced with SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7, leveraged SAP Cloud Platform services, and included a POC integration with SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation plus the debtor management add-on for documentation and record keeping. The operational scope affected project management teams initiating payment condition agreements and the finance processes that were consequently removed from the manual approval path, while customers received the necessary payment documentation directly. The implementation referenced support from Emineo as system integrator and included SAP Innovation Services and SAP Innovative Business Solutions during deployment.
Governance and workflow restructuring centralized the initiation of payment condition changes to project managers through the chat interface, preserving auditability by recording all changes in the SAP ERP core-system. The financial department was no longer involved in issuing revised payment conditions, the project manager workflow became a self-service channel, and customer-facing communications were produced as part of the automated ERP transaction stream. The deployment was live for SAP ERP financials while the SAP Conversational AI and robotic automation elements remained at proof of concept stage.
