In 2019 BP implemented FIS Integrated Payables, deploying an AP Automation solution to standardize accounts payable and related treasury workflows. The programme was managed from BP IT&S in London, with a principal business analyst overseeing business analysts and subject matter experts to capture business requirements, scope and current process definition to inform product evaluation.
FIS Integrated Payables was configured to support core AP Automation capabilities, including invoice capture and validation, workflow approvals and exception management, payment processing orchestration and supplier onboarding. Configuration work followed a rigorous fit gap analysis and detailed functional design that defined the target application architecture and future process definition.
Architecture design and the implementation strategy emphasized alignment with BP finance and treasury operating processes, with the solution intended to centralize AP processing and payment orchestration within corporate finance and treasury functions. A comprehensive test strategy and a detailed Statement of Work were documented with the vendor to govern technical and functional delivery.
Selection and delivery followed structured procurement and governance practices, including an RFI and RFP, programme review, due diligence and Executive Governance endorsement of the recommendation. External programme assurance validated the completeness and quality of the design and Executive Governance provided strong positive feedback, while Agile ways of working were promoted within the programme team.

Operational governance focuses on requisition approval and candidate lifecycle management within HR, with configuration and workflow controls implemented inside the Infinite BrassRing ( Formerly IBM Kenexa BrassRing ) Applicant Tracking System to align recruitment processes with BP hiring practices.

In 2017, BP deployed GE Digital Predix APM through Plant Operations Advisor on a production platform in the Gulf of Mexico. The deployment established GE Digital Predix APM as an Asset Performance Management solution focused on offshore production operations.
The Plant Operations Advisor implementation was built on GE's Predix operating system and was developed in partnership between BP and GE. The configuration emphasized APM capabilities common to the category, including real time asset monitoring, analytics driven anomaly detection, condition aware advisory workflows, and operations facing visualization to surface efficiency, reliability and security signals for platform teams.
Operational coverage initially targeted a single BP platform in the Gulf of Mexico with governance set to evaluate performance prior to wider rollout. The program governance reflected a partnership model, with BP and GE co developed development and a conditional global deployment plan across additional BP facilities in 2017 if operational results met expectations.
The implementation explicitly aimed to enhance efficiency, reliability and security of oil and gas operations and was described by stakeholders as a step to drive productivity improvements. GE positioned the planned expansion as what would become the largest scale deployment of Predix powered APM technology to date, indicating a strategic move to standardize Asset Performance Management across BP's operating sites.
