In 2020, Brembo implemented PTC ThingWorx Asset Advisor as an Asset Performance Management solution to consolidate plant-floor data across its global manufacturing footprint. The deployment targeted more than 40 facilities across 14 countries and multiple production lines in North America, addressing prior manual data collection processes that relied on USB keys and siloed analysis.
The implementation architecture combined ThingWorx with Kepware Server to deliver industrial connectivity, ingest real-time PLC and machine controller data, and present a unified operational narrative. PTC ThingWorx Asset Advisor was configured to provide asset health monitoring, OEE-focused analytics, real-time dashboards, and reporting to support frontline operations and maintenance workflows.
Brembo partnered with Brock Solutions and PTC to connect disparate sources of process data, using Kepware for protocol translation and ThingWorx for analytics and visualization. The integration scope emphasized plant-floor operations, troubleshooting, quality variance detection, and consolidation of previously isolated data to enable cross-line visibility.
Rollout was executed with a focus on speed and scalability, building on existing infrastructure to scale the Asset Performance Management capability across sites. Governance shifted from ad hoc USB-based extraction to centralized data collection and standardized reporting, enabling consistent operational monitoring and improved visibility into production and asset health through PTC ThingWorx Asset Advisor.
