| Infor | Legacy | Infor System21 | Manufacturing ERP, Distribution ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023, BBF deployed Infor System21 as its primary enterprise resource platform. Infor System21 served as the core Manufacturing ERP,Distribution ERP supporting finance, distribution and payroll accounting functions across BBFs four UK sites, in an organization of roughly 2000 employees with payroll volumes of 1100 paid weekly and 250 paid monthly, and with three sites operating under separate terms and conditions.
Configuration emphasis centered on general ledger and transaction-level financial processing, accounts receivable and debtor reconciliation, intercompany accounting, cash management and VAT reporting workflows. System21 acted as the ledger and transaction repository used to perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, Wells Fargo loan and interest reconciliation, debtor reconciliations and to maintain the Cash KPI Tracker across GBP, EUR and PLN, while payroll calculations and earnings summaries were prepared for Finance use.
Infor System21 operated alongside Exchequer, Cascade, Tropos and Wells Fargo banking systems as part of the application estate in use at BBF. The estate supported reconciliation and reporting workflows that linked ERP financial records with external banking positions and payroll reporting systems, enabling consolidated VAT submissions for multiple UK sites and regular cash position visibility across currencies.
Operational governance placed a Financial Accountant and Payroll Specialist in a standalone role responsible for end to end weekly payroll processing, monthly payroll runs for site specific populations, high volume reconciliations, intercompany settlement maintenance and preparation for year end audit activities. The role also provided cross coverage across the wider Finance team, maintaining centralized responsibility for paying all group employees and producing the finance reports required for month end and statutory submissions.
