In 2024, Bringing Hope implemented Paxton Access Net2 Timesheet to strengthen safeguarding and simplify access across its Birmingham charity site. The deployment is categorized as Time Clock (Hardware) and focused on access control, occupancy visibility, and role based entry management for staff, volunteers, clients, professionals, and tradespeople.
ID Security Systems recommended and installed Paxton’s Net2 access control across six key doors, using Net2 readers and fobs, Net2 Plus controllers, entry panels with intercom functionality, and the Net2 access control software. Configuration emphasized role based permissions, timezones for automated out of hours locking, lockdown capability to protect service users, rapid deactivation of lost credentials, and real time monitoring to give non technical administrators clear oversight.
The implementation integrated with a recent network upgrade and leveraged the Paxton Installer App to streamline setup and configuration. Operational coverage initially maps to the shared multi use facility that houses a nursery and partner organisations, with the live system managing over 35 users and a documented site footprint indicating up to 10 doors and 50 plus users for planned expansion, including future lift control.
Governance and day to day workflows were structured around Net2 administration, enabling administrators to define access levels by role, apply timezone rules to automate out of hours restrictions, and execute rapid credential cancellation for lost or unreturned fobs. The solution delivers real time occupancy reporting and lockdown controls tailored to the charity’s safeguarding responsibilities, while ID Security Systems provided installation and configuration support to ensure consistent deployment standards.
