In 2012 Britvic Ireland implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as part of its ERP Financial environment. The implementation sits alongside BW and has been augmented with ActiveControl from Basis Technologies to automate change control across the SAP landscape.
Britvic Ireland runs ActiveControl in ECC and BW on a four system single track path consisting of Development, SIT, UAT and Production, with Development and SIT hosted in the cloud and UAT and Production retained on-premise, creating a hybrid deployment architecture. ActiveControl is configured to automate transport deployment and approvals, provide a single source of truth for change status, and reduce manual transport management effort, supporting automated deployment from Production and conflict-free integration of project changes.
Operational coverage extends to distributed external development teams who access ActiveControl via a browser based Web UI while the internal basis team uses the Windows GUI for full configuration and governance. SAP EWM is being introduced into the landscape and Britvic Ireland has signaled evaluation of CRM, with a planned ServiceNow integration to streamline Change Advisory Board workflows, reflecting an emphasis on cross tool orchestration and test refresh acceleration.
Governance and process changes include replacing spreadsheet based tracking with a central change repository, standardized approval workflows to eliminate long email chains, and audit ready records of all change and approvals. The basis team reported a material reduction in day to day transport management, enabling redeployment of team capacity to higher value tasks and simpler coordination with multi country external teams.
Documented outcomes include up to 50 percent reduction in manual effort and an associated drop in the cost of change, faster audit reporting, streamlined approvals and greater infrastructure transparency. Britvic Ireland has also identified a multi year roadmap that includes ServiceNow integration and a future move to S4HANA, planning multi track development support as part of ongoing SAP ERP ECC 6.0 lifecycle planning.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Britvic Ireland used Microsoft Power BI in a short term analytics engagement to visualize pricing and competitive analysis for its soft drinks business. A Data Analyst contracted from January 2020 to March 2020 built pricing models to estimate P&L variation after price changes, extracting source data from SAP BW and using Excel to construct pivot tables, advanced formulas, goal seek scenarios, slicers, and macros, and the contract was terminated due to Covid-19 restrictions. This work sits in the Analytics and BI category and centered on commercial pricing analysis rather than corporate BI transformation.
The engagement produced Microsoft Power BI dashboards that compared Britvic prices to competitors and surfaced price gap opportunities, and also delivered price per volume gap visualizations to compare Britvic sales to wholesale clients. Functional capabilities implemented included model-driven P&L scenario exports from Excel, interactive visualizations and comparative pricing charts in Microsoft Power BI, and automated Excel preprocessing to feed the BI layer.
Operational coverage focused on commercial and sales functions, with findings reported to the Revenue Growth Manager and the Sales Director and used to inform pricing discussions. Integrations were explicit between SAP BW, Excel preprocessing workbooks, and Microsoft Power BI visualizations, creating a workflow where SAP BW supplied transactional data, Excel held model logic and automation, and Microsoft Power BI provided the visualization and reporting layer.
