Epicor Legacy Epicor ERP 10 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Brown Jordan implemented Epicor ERP 10 as its core ERP Financial platform across its multiunit manufacturing and distribution footprint. The rollout targeted a privately held, midsize manufacturer operating five business units with facilities in the United States and Mexico, and addressed NAFTA and maquiladora requirements as part of the multi-site deployment. The Epicor ERP 10 implementation encompassed full system design and configuration, including Master Data management, GL definition and controls, core Accounting, Sales Processing, Serialization, Engineering, Job Management, Scheduling, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Cost Accounting. Manufacturing execution system capabilities were deployed alongside a sophisticated product configurator to support make to order entry and drop ship fulfillment, and a portfolio of production reporting modules such as Job Dispatch, Time Phase, and Schedule Attainment were implemented to improve shop floor visibility. Integrations and architecture work included development of an integration layer tying Epicor 9 and Epicor ERP 10 to AS400 PRMS and Oracle EBS source systems, plus connectivity for Advanced Shipping and 3PL integration. The program also implemented IBM Cognos TM1 to support corporate financial consolidations, board of directors reporting, and Excel based budgeting and forecasting, coordinating the TM1 platform with divisional and corporate IT and finance teams. Program governance was led by the Director of IT acting as project sponsor and PM with accountability for system design, rollout, and operational alignment across US and Mexican sites. Implementation activities restructured scheduling and capacity planning toward finite scheduling to support cellular production, and the production reporting portfolio significantly improved visibility of supply demand issues and work in process status.
