| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Accounts Payable (AP) | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Bumi Armada implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Accounts Payable (AP) as an AP Automation solution. The deployment targeted Accounts Payable workflows supporting staff claims, crew claims, cash advances, and temporary payroll verification in the Kuala Lumpur finance operation, using SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Accounts Payable (AP) to record transactions by project company code and entity in both local and foreign currency. Functional capabilities configured included invoice verification and posting, GL account, cost center and internal order assignment, WBS element allocation, and GST treatment at claim entry, with foreign currency validations performed against Oanda reference rates during AP verification. Data entry, cross checks, and postings were performed through the SAP AP module as the central transactional engine for these processes.
Operational coverage emphasized finance and payroll support activities where temporary staff verified claims, communicated payment issues directly with employees via email, and maintained filing and record keeping. Governance controls introduced standard verification procedures for crew and staff claims, explicit lookup rules for GL and cost object assignment, and backup processes to support salary and benefits postings, all executed within the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Accounts Payable (AP) environment. The implementation positioned the AP module as the authoritative system of record for project-level accounts payable processing within Bumi Armada’s finance function, aligning AP Automation capabilities with day to day verification and posting workflows.

| Citigroup | Legacy | CitiDirect Card Management System | Digital Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2016 |
In 2015, Bumi Armada implemented the CitiDirect Card Management System from Citigroup to centralize staff payment initiation and card management as part of its Digital Banking tooling for finance and HR operations. The deployment emphasized multi currency payment capabilities and online payment processing through Citidirect internet banking to support day to day claims and staff advance workflows.
The CitiDirect Card Management System was configured to support payment initiation, user role enforcement, and Limit of Authority controls used by the Finance Department and HR Shared Services. Functional activities mapped to the application included preparing and executing payments, handling multi currency transactions, and managing approval chains for claims and cash advances, with explicit controls to ensure payments obey the Limit of Authority.
Operational integration tied the CitiDirect Card Management System to on premises HRIS SAP processes and SAP posting workflows, where claimant documentation was scanned and posted into SAP for payroll execution and staff identity creation. The solution supported end to end operational coverage for Finance and HR in Kuala Lumpur, including accounts payable processing, AP aging reporting, petty cash handling, treasury fund requests to enable payments, and liaison with auditors on claim processing.
Governance and process changes focused on embedding document verification and escalation workflows into the combined Citidirect and SAP process, including verification of supporting documents, escalation of claim issues to managers, and periodic physical filing of returned forms to HR business partners. The implementation oriented operational teams to use CitiDirect Card Management System for payment execution while SAP remained the authoritative system for HR posting and documentation storage.
