The initial phase focused on core Avature ATS features, candidate engagement dashboards and role-based training, with comprehensive sessions for recruiters and hiring managers to accelerate adoption. Configuration emphasized reporting and transparency through intuitive dashboards that delivered stakeholder visibility from day one. Over the following year Bupa expanded configuration to include agency and referral portals, an interview self-scheduling portal, SMS candidate communications, and a mobile app for recruiters and hiring managers, all provisioned within the Avature CRM and ATS architecture.
Integrations were explicitly deployed to reduce manual handoffs, including a background check integration that completed 6,500 checks and an integration with LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect to streamline sourcing and workflow continuity. An agency portal automated submissions from 81 agencies and a referral portal formalized employee referral intake, producing 2,000 referrals and 450 hires. Internal transfer and contingent talent data entry into the core HR system was automated during the second phase, freeing TA teams from routine data entry and linking Avature workflows to downstream HR processes.
Governance and rollout followed an agile cadence, instituting a prioritization matrix and transparent backlog management to balance live operations with ongoing deployments. Bupa moved to a six week release cycle for continuous improvement, paired with internal capability building through Avature certifications and hands on testing to capture emergent requirements. Planning also defined future talent mobility workstreams, including a careers squad and a funded talent marketplace project to address low internal mobility and improve visibility of internal talent across the organization.
