In 2020, BURST implemented ShipHero Inventory Management to move high-volume subscription fulfillment onto a scaled fulfillment platform. The deployment used their U.S. 3PL Swoop to establish unified order visibility and scale operations to 100,000+ shipments per month.
ShipHero Inventory Management was configured to leverage core Inventory Management and warehouse management system capabilities, including bulk shipping workflows, warehouse cycle-count functions, and API-driven order orchestration. Configurations focused on batch pick and pack operations, inventory reconciliation controls, and automated shipping batches to support recurring subscription cadence.
Integrations centered on API connectivity between ShipHero and the 3PL Swoop environment, enabling real-time order flow, shipment status updates, and synchronized inventory positions across the fulfillment node. Operational coverage was U.S.-based fulfillment and warehouse operations, impacting fulfillment, inventory control, and operations teams.
Operational governance introduced structured cycle-count procedures and inventory control workflows executed by the 3PL to standardize stock accuracy and order traceability. The implementation supported scale while cutting fully-loaded fulfillment costs by about 35 percent, an outcome reported in the case study.
