Operationally the system was used day to day by an accounts payable team, working closely with merchandise and store teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and avoid processing delays. Accounts payable clerks handled vendor communications via email and phone regarding payment status and discrepancies, and the solution supported selection and processing of EFT payments to match projections as closely as possible. Governance and process changes included supervisory oversight of a four person AP clerk team, formalized performance reviews, and recurring training refreshers intended to improve hourly productivity. The role progressed to Accounts Payable Manager in June 2023, reflecting an operational ownership shift of Epicor ECM AP Automation driven AP Automation and Accounts Payable responsibilities.
