In 2021, BYJU'S implemented SAP S/4 HANA 1909 as the core enterprise ERP platform. The deployment emphasized ERP Financial capabilities, aligning SAP S/4 HANA functionality with BYJU'S finance and transactional operations while extending coverage into logistics to support procurement and order to cash workflows.
The implementation configured Simple Finance modules including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, asset accounting, taxation and lease accounting, and Simple Logistic modules including MM and SD. The technical footprint included SAP ABAP development, FIORI user experience layer, BASIS administration, Document Management System DMS, SAP PI PO for interface orchestration, and SAP Analytics Cloud SAC for reporting and analytics.
Integration architecture used SAP PI PO as middleware to manage interfaces into the SAP S/4 HANA environment and DMS to standardize document workflows, while SAC consumed financial and operational data for analytic reporting. Operational scope targeted finance, procurement and sales business functions, with IT teams responsible for ABAP custom development, FIORI configuration and BASIS operations to sustain the platform.
Program governance centered on structured program management and people management, with explicit ownership for vendor management, SAP licensing, contracts, renewals and addendums. Implementation responsibilities documented by BYJU'S included budgeting and costing controls, vendor and license negotiations, and ongoing internal customer relationship management to support the SAP S/4 HANA rollout.
BYJU'S SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial implementation in 2021 consolidated finance and logistics functional modules on SAP S/4 HANA 1909 and established a technical stack composed of ABAP, FIORI, BASIS, PI PO, DMS and SAC, enabling standardized transaction processing and analytic consumption across finance, procurement and sales business functions.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 BYJU'S implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central for Core HR to centralize and standardize offboarding operations. The central HR offboarding team based in Bengaluru and Mysuru managed PAN India separations covering the company workforce of about 10,000 employees.
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central was configured to manage core offboarding workflows including initiation of exit requests, recording separations in the system, and last working day changes. Functional capabilities used included processing voluntary and involuntary exits, attendance updates tied to separation, generation of full and final FnF data for payroll, and maintenance of BDT discontinuations and the BDT tracker as part of daily system operations.
The offboarding process was operationally integrated with a Freshdesk ticketing tool for handling employee queries and payroll related tickets, with background verification coordination and resignation follow up incorporated into case workflows. The central HR team acted as the single point of contact for separated employees, initiating exit requests in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and following up on approvals until closure. These operational links connected HR offboarding activities to payroll, attendance, and background verification functions across the organization.
Governance was formalized through an offboarding process SOP and a Freshdesk handling procedure SOP, and the team instituted an offboarding induction process to standardize handoffs. The central HR team managed escalation paths for exit approvals within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central while preparing and sharing FnF data with the payroll team. Operational ownership and day to day processing remained within BYJU'S central HR team.

In 2022 BYJU'S deployed Zoom for Audio Video and Web Conferencing on its public website to enable browser-based live instruction and real-time student engagement. Zoom is used as the primary web conferencing layer embedded in BYJU'S web properties, enabling instructor-led virtual classrooms, live demonstrations, and webinar-style sessions that students join without a separate desktop client. The implementation restates Zoom and the Audio Video and Web Conferencing category to signal the platform function within BYJU'S digital delivery stack.
The deployment centers on embedding Zoom meeting and webinar functionality into BYJU'S site, configuring account-level meeting controls, participant management, and browser joining to reduce friction for learners. Operational scope emphasizes student-facing education delivery and instructor workflows on BYJU'S digital platform, with governance focused on centralized administration of user access and meeting policies to support consistent remote instructional processes. Zoom is presented as the audio, video and web conferencing component that BYJU'S uses to run live synchronous learning within its online ecosystem.
