Integration patterns focused on synchronizing absence balances and entitlement data with core HCM records and compensation modules, enabling consistent personnel data across HR and compensation systems without reference to prior system details.
Operational governance centered on HRIS ownership with role based access for HR business partners and compensation analysts, and standardized workflow configuration to enforce consistent leave approvals and auditability. The implementation narrative reflects a consolidated Absence and Leave Management capability embedded in CAE Inc.'s Workday ecosystem, supporting HR operations, compensation coordination, and centralized absence policy enforcement.

Configuration work emphasized alignment with the Maintenance Process Manual and airworthiness standards, and workflows were established for draft and approval of procedures that affect fleet airworthiness.
The implementation included explicit operational integration with the organisation Learning Management System to capture training requirements, input course completions, and link certified maintenance personnel to applicable logbook entries. Operational coverage spanned NFTC and the FAcT program, and the system was used by maintenance, quality, training, and airworthiness teams to share reference material and OEM engineering publications through the Maintenix platform.
Governance changes accompanied the technical rollout, with the Deputy Senior Maintenance Manager role instrumental in translating airworthiness rules into Maintenix procedures, reviewing and approving maintenance documentation, and coordinating training certification recorded in the LMS. Security and compliance constraints were incorporated into operational processes, reflecting requirements for Controlled Goods Directorate evaluations and US ITAR retransfer authorization as conditions for personnel and data access.
