In 2018, Calbee implemented Sonar ATS as an Applicant Tracking System and deployed the application on its public careers site. Sonar ATS is used as the external candidate intake and tracking layer, capturing applications directly via the jobboard URL and providing a central repository for applicant records.
Configuration centered on standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities, including job requisition publishing, candidate application intake and resume capture, configurable screening and status workflows, and recruiter review queues. The Sonar ATS implementation was provisioned to manage end to end hiring stages, from application receipt through interview scheduling and offer tracking, aligning system workflows with Calbee recruiting processes.
Operational scope covers Calbee talent acquisition and HR teams in Japan, with governance configured to assign recruiter and hiring manager roles, enforce vacancy approval steps, and standardize candidate status updates synchronized with the careers site experience. Calbee Sonar ATS Applicant Tracking System is positioned to support hiring operations by consolidating application flows on the corporate website and instituting recruiter-facing workflow controls.

In 2024, Calbee integrated its ルビープログラム loyalty campaign with the JR East Blockchain Platform, a Blockchain Platform implemented through JRE WALLET to distribute digital voting tickets and campaign rewards. The initiative targets marketing and CRM workflows in Japan, using blockchain-based token issuance to represent voting rights and promotional rewards within the campaign.
Calbee configured the implementation to leverage loyalty and marketing module capabilities of the Blockchain Platform, issuing cryptographic digital tickets and controlling on-chain transfer rules for campaign rewards. The JR East Blockchain Platform was used to orchestrate token lifecycle events, including issuance, user attribution, and redemption triggers tied to campaign mechanics.
Operational integration connected Suica-derived behaviour data to the campaign mechanics, mapping transit-based behavioral signals into the token issuance rules and vote allocation. Calbee aligned its CRM and marketing systems with JRE WALLET as the consumer-facing wallet, enabling receipt and verification of digital voting tickets on-chain and linking user activity to campaign entitlement.
Governance and process changes centered on data-to-token mapping, consent and attribution workflows, and campaign rollout coordination between marketing, CRM, and consumer engagement teams. The deployment positioned JR East Blockchain Platform as the ledger layer for loyalty orchestration while Calbee retained in-house application ownership of campaign logic and user segmentation.
