In 2010, Calix deployed Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial backbone running Oracle Application 12.1.3. The engagement was led from an IT Finance functional perspective to provide development and production support across core financial operations.
The implementation encompassed Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchase Orders, Order Management, Service Contracts and Fixed Asset modules. Workstreams focused on functional configuration and development, production issue resolution, and defining transaction flows such as invoice to cash, procure to pay, general ledger accounting, order to cash, service contract lifecycle management, and asset capitalization and depreciation.
Operational coverage combined onsite and offshore coordination for ongoing development and production support, with an IT Finance Functional Lead orchestrating work assignments. The deployment impacted finance, procurement, order management, service operations and asset management business functions, and required close alignment with Directors and Managers of cross functional modules to synchronize configurations and operational interfaces.
Governance centered on production issue triage, release coordination between development and operations, and cross functional change control driven by finance leadership. Oracle E-Business Suite was maintained under this governance model to preserve continuity of AR, AP, GL, PO, OM, Service Contracts and Fixed Asset processes within the ERP Financial environment.

In 2016, Calix implemented Microsoft Power BI as its Analytics and BI platform to centralize reporting for Operations, Finance and Product Lifecycle Management. The program owner led and owned final cost decisions and communications with Operations, Finance and PLM while developing targeted dashboards to surface product and supply chain health.
The core deliverable was a New Product Operations metrics dashboard in Microsoft Power BI that presented overall health of products, cost visibility, delivery planning, dfsc and quality metrics. The implementation emphasized configurable visualizations and KPI-driven pages to reflect product lifecycle status, commodity strategy indicators and committed delivery reporting.
Operational coverage spanned cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, planning, global logistics, PLM, Engineering, Finance, GSCM and others, with data consolidated into the Power BI dashboards to drive alignment. The deployment supported a global outsourced team of 11 focused on Supplier Operations, MRO, Commodity Management and New Products, enabling coordinated visibility across sites and functions.
Governance centered on established process and communication for Commodity Strategies, with the owner managing stakeholder handoffs, prioritization and gap tracking across departments. The team drove supplier and manufacturer engagement to align timelines and expectations, and built structured reporting and communication cadences to report committed deliveries.
As implemented, Microsoft Power BI provided Calix with a centralized Analytics and BI capability to showcase product health and delivery commitments, support commodity strategy communications and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The effort explicitly aimed to help manufacturers and suppliers meet company and customer expectations and to build trust through transparent reporting.
