In 2012 CAMAC International implemented IFS IDEAS (formerly P2 IDEAS) as its core Oil Gas and Chemicals ERP platform to support finance and operational recordkeeping. The deployment centered on using IFS IDEAS for upstream accounting and financial close workflows while aligning planning and budgeting processes with cloud planning tools.
Configuration work included detailed financial reporting and close scenario configuration, design of budgeting and forecasting processes, and implementation of business rules and calculation scripts for planning. Implementation activities documented included the implementation of Hyperion planning and budgeting on the cloud using Hyperion PBCS, forms design, closed month financials reporting through a specific scenario, and batch automation using the epm-automate program.
Operational integration and run book activities emphasized automation and reporting, with management reports produced through Financial Reporting Studio and end user query access enabled via SmartView training.
