In 2013, Canon implemented iCIMS Recruit Applicant Tracking System. The deployment places iCIMS Recruit Applicant Tracking System as the primary Applicant Tracking System on Canon's public career site to capture inbound applications and manage candidate records for the recruiting function.
The implementation covers standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities, including job requisition posting and publishing to the career site, configurable candidate workflows and stages, resume parsing and structured applicant profiles, interview scheduling and feedback collection, offer generation and acceptance tracking, and recruiting analytics and reporting. These modules are described in the context of talent acquisition and applicant lifecycle management.
Canon's use of iCIMS Recruit on its website centralizes external candidate intake and provides a single repository for applicant data within the recruiting function. The deployment aligns the career site experience with the ATS, enabling automated application routing and consistent status updates for candidates.
Governance aspects focus on standardizing hiring workflows and approvals, enforcing consistent candidate data capture, and supporting compliance related tracking through the Applicant Tracking System. The configuration emphasizes recruitment process control and operational consistency across hiring activities executed through the iCIMS Recruit platform.

| Solana | Legacy | Solana Blockchain | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, Canon used the Solana Blockchain as its chosen Blockchain Platform to publish a curated NFT drop for the Canon Legends program. The implementation centered on a collaboration with Immutable Image to mint and publish photographic tokens on Solana and list the collection on the OpenSea marketplace, with a public drop called The Legends Mint scheduled for June 30, 2022.
The technical implementation focused on blockchain minting workflows, using the Solana Blockchain to tokenize photographic works as discrete NFTs. The deployment emphasized edition management and unique token issuance, including exclusive 1 of 1 tokens and multiple-edition tokens, with the canonical minting operation defined as publishing tokens on-chain to make them available for purchase.
Operational integration was explicit and narrow, comprising Canon U.S.A., the Canon Legends photographers, and Immutable Image as the curator and facilitator, with OpenSea used as the peer-to-peer marketplace for distribution. The implementation preserved image copyright and commercial rights off-chain, purchasers received a unique NFT but not copyright, and edition size together with artist attribution determined rarity and variance of buyer outcomes.
Governance and rollout were structured around curated collection curation and a single coordinated drop, Immutable Image curating the seven participating Canon Legends while Canon provided program oversight and artist engagement. The minting governance included pre-announced edition supply to be revealed, managed token issuance rules, and an explicit policy that photographers would receive resale commissions through blockchain-enabled royalty mechanisms.
Documented outcomes from the implementation include creating a parallel revenue stream to traditional gallery print sales and enabling photographers to receive commissions on secondary market resales, introducing their work to new collectors and a new visual platform. The Solana Blockchain implementation functioned as a Blockchain Platform for token issuance, marketplace listing, and ongoing royalty enforcement, aligning Canon, Immutable Image, the participating photographers, and OpenSea around a single NFT publication workflow.

In 2014, Canon implemented Oracle Service Cloud (ex RightNow) as a cloud-hosted Customer Support platform. The purchase was procured directly from Oracle and served to replace Canon's prior Oracle PeopleSoft CRM for external customer case handling and support record consolidation.
Configuration centered on Oracle Service Cloud case management, knowledge management, web self service portals, multichannel routing and SLA entitlement management, aligning support workflows with standard Customer Support functional capabilities. The program included a data migration from Oracle PeopleSoft CRM into Oracle Service Cloud and required redefinition of case lifecycle governance and knowledge authoring processes to match the SaaS data model and operational workflows.
