In 2015, Cape Air went live with IFS Maintenix as its enterprise-wide fleet maintenance management system. Cape Air implemented IFS Maintenix in the Aviation MRO category across a full footprint deployment to support the regional airline's strategic growth plans.
The implementation concentrated on core MRO functional modules, standardizing maintenance information and processes on a single system. Operational coverage extended to all outstations in the United States, the Caribbean and Guam, enabling stronger integration between flight operations and maintenance control to balance required maintenance work with the scheduling of critical revenue flights. The deployment centralized maintenance data and enabled tighter operational handoffs between maintenance control, planning and materials, improving visibility for day-to-day operations across regional sites.
Governance focused on enterprise standardization and phased operational adoption across engineering and maintenance teams, with the provider engaged to support system configuration and go live. Post go live, Cape Air reported that staff could more efficiently manage routine operations while maintaining focus on corporate performance objectives, streamlining operations and gaining timelier information to support growth without compromising customer service.
