In 2010, Capita implemented Sopra Evolan as a loan servicing platform for Capita Asset Services. Sopra Evolan is a Core Banking application deployed to support commercial mortgage servicing across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The deployment centered on lending and servicing functionality, with the project using Evolan Loans lending and loan servicing capabilities to manage commercial mortgage accounts. Configuration work emphasized loan lifecycle management, contract terms, payment schedules and servicing event processing consistent with a Core Banking lending stack.
Architecturally the implementation established a centralized loan servicing platform to support regional servicing operations in the UK and Ireland, providing a single system of record for commercial mortgage portfolios. The platform supported operational workflows for loan administration, servicing exceptions and account accounting, aligning servicing processes with the applications transaction processing and servicing modules.
Operational rollout migrated approximately 800 complex commercial loans and the system went live on 21 March 2011, delivering faster time to value according to project communications. The program consolidated servicing activities under the Sopra Evolan platform and required coordinated cutover and operational runbook updates for lending operations and servicing teams.
