In 2015, Capital Office Supplies implemented SAP Business One as its ERP Financial solution. The initial deployment was a minimum viable implementation designed to conserve working capital, with the platform configured to scale as the business expanded from launch to more than 19,000+ products.
SAP Business One was configured to deliver core finance, inventory management, stock control, sales order processing, and reporting and forecasting functionality, providing an end to end business management platform. The implementation emphasized modular roll out, starting with core financials and inventory controls while preserving customization capacity for catalog expansion and more advanced forecasting as product complexity increased.
The deployment targeted primary business functions including finance, purchasing, warehouse operations and sales within the distributor environment in New Zealand. The project was supported through the vendor channel FUJIFILM MicroChannel and implementation partner 41331, who delivered implementation services, configuration guidance and ongoing support to operationalize processes from day one.
Governance was structured to balance tight budget constraints with the need for standardized processes, using partner led training and staged configuration governance to manage rollout risk. Company leadership attributed operational success to partner expertise and support, and SAP Business One provided a flexible, cost conscious ERP Financial platform aligned to the distributors inventory intensive operations.
