Aptean Legacy Aptean Apprise ERP Distribution ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Capitol-Husting Company implemented Aptean Apprise ERP. The deployment targeted the companys liquor distribution operations in the Greater Milwaukee Area and positioned Aptean Apprise ERP as the Enterprise resource planning backbone for order to cash, inventory management, and financial control. The project manager documented end to end business processes and configured core distribution ERP capabilities including inventory control, order processing, purchasing, billing, and financial reporting to reflect distributor workflows. The Aptean Apprise ERP application had not been subject to full user acceptance testing prior to the engagement, so the team organized detailed role based training and multiple cycles of testing to validate process flows and system configuration. Operational coverage included warehouse, operations, sales order management, and finance teams, with testing and training executed across business users responsible for day to day distribution activities. The implementation approach emphasized iterative testing, issue tracking, and business user sign off to align system behavior with compliance and distribution requirements specific to liquor wholesale operations. Project governance shifted quickly when the project manager was assigned after two and a half weeks, driving a concentrated training and testing cadence. Over 100 issues were identified and resolved to business user satisfaction, and the organized user training and test cycles enabled the team to converge on a production ready state and complete the system implementation in four and a half months despite a project history that had been going on for almost 3 years.
