Microsoft Microsoft Dynamics GP Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP Financial ERP ArcherPoint 2018 2019
In 2018 Care-A-Lot Pet Supply upgraded its ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as a central financial system, engaging ArcherPoint to coordinate the project alongside an LS Retail implementation. The move addressed a fragmented stack that previously included Microsoft Dynamics GP for accounting, NCR Counterpoint for POS, a homegrown warehouse inventory tool, and a custom purchasing solution, which collectively prevented transaction-level GL drill down and effective multi-location management. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to centralize financials, inventory accounting, and warehouse operations, providing the core ERP Financial capabilities required for consolidated reporting and inventory valuation. The implementation emphasized functional modules for accounts payable and receivable, general ledger transaction visibility, warehouse management workflows, and support for click and collect and click and pick up scenarios to align in-store and eCommerce operations. The deployment integrated Business Central with LS Retail to unify point of sale, eCommerce, and service transactions across store, online, and phone channels, and ArcherPoint rolled out EMV compliant pin pads at registers during the rollout. Operational coverage included multiple retail locations and warehouse operations in Virginia, with configuration to support store-level POS screens, offline register resilience, promotion engines, mix and match discount controls, and commission tracking for grooming and training services. Governance and process redesign accompanied the technical work, with standardized return approval rules, preproduction testing of promotional eligibility, and configuration-driven controls to prevent improper discounting. ArcherPoint implemented role based POS configurations and workflows to enable managers to enforce higher level approvals for returns and high value transactions, reducing manual reconciliation work. As stated by the customer the solution delivered end to end integration from financials to warehouse to sales and eCommerce, improved web and catalog order handling by charging customers only when products are sourced, and enabled accurate, timely commission calculation for service staff. The deployment positioned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as the company ERP Financial backbone while LS Retail continued to supply retail and omnichannel commerce capabilities, and Care-A-Lot signaled plans to extend analytics via Power BI and AI to improve promotions, customer insights, and channel coordination.

LS Retail Legacy LS Retail Central Retail Management ERP Services and Operations ArcherPoint 2018 2018
In 2018 Care-A-Lot Pet Supply implemented LS Retail Central as its Retail Management solution to unify point of sale, inventory, eCommerce and service operations across its Virginia stores, online storefront and phone sales channel. ArcherPoint led the deployment, taking the rollout live at the companys third store and subsequently extending LS Retail Central to all store locations, including EMV pin pad integration at registers. The LS Retail Central deployment was configured to deliver end to end transaction visibility, consolidating financials, POS, warehouse and eCommerce workflows into a single system. Implemented capabilities included multi location inventory management with reorder point controls, POS screen customization per user, offline register operation for resilience, cross selling and service item handling for grooming and training, commission tracking for on commission staff, and discount, mix and match offer configuration with manager approval limits for high value returns. Integrations and operational coverage reflected Care A Lots omnichannel footprint and prior systems, the project replaced disparate components such as Microsoft Dynamics GP for accounting and NCR Counterpoint for POS while consolidating home grown inventory and purchasing tools. LS Retail Central was instrumented to support web and catalog sales workflows so customers are charged when product is sourced rather than at initial checkout, and the company planned an ERP upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to further centralize financials, warehouse operations and click and collect functionality. Governance and process restructuring focused on centralized control of promotions, return policies and commission workflows, reducing manual reconciliation and receipt based commission calculations. ArcherPoint and LS Retail worked with Care A Lot to configure role based POS layouts, approval thresholds for returns, and catalog integration processes to support services like boarding and day care alongside retail sales. The implementation delivered explicit operational outcomes cited by the customer, including improved web and catalog reliability, accurate commission calculation for trainers and groomers, stronger control of discounts and mix and match offers, and confidence in vendor longevity due to LS Retails North American presence and Microsoft backing. LS Retail Central continues to serve as the companys Retail Management backbone while the organization pursues additional Business Central integration, expanded use of Power BI and AI, and tighter collaboration between stores and eCommerce channels.
