Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite CRM CRM CRM n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Carlow University implemented Oracle NetSuite CRM as part of a coordinated program that simultaneously managed two CRM implementations totaling over $1 million. The initiative was run from the IT Division and encompassed campus-wide communications and help desk process alignment, with a program plan tracking more than 50 projects to govern scope and delivery. The Oracle NetSuite CRM deployment focused on core CRM capabilities consistent with the CRM category, including contact and lead management, opportunity tracking, campaign management, and case management to support constituent engagement workflows. Configuration oversight, requirements definition, scoping, design, testing, activation, and post-install review were defined as discrete workstreams, and a structured training curriculum and materials were developed and delivered to stakeholders. Integrations and operational coverage included explicit use of SharePoint and OneNote to centralize documentation and meeting notes, an IT Division SharePoint group sharing space for team collaboration, and communication channels spanning social media, the SharePoint portal feed, and a corporate communications email account. The implementation also encompassed site permission management and creation of organized artifacts such as documents, calendars, workflows, and logs to support operational continuity. Governance and lifecycle management were enforced through scheduled upgrade and patch tracking, oversight of network and system maintenance to preserve uptime and reliability, and stakeholder communications for technology upgrade plans and processes. The program emphasized formalized activation sequencing, post-install review cycles, and continued participation in analysis and solution implementations to improve business process and functional alignment between IT, help desk operations, and campus communications.
