In 2020 CH&CO upgraded Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as part of a strategy to establish a modern, scalable IT backbone while executing the work remotely during Covid-19. From January to June 2020 CH&CO and Redfaire upgraded JD Edwards EnterpriseOne from 9.0 to 9.2 and moved the JD Edwards ERP instance onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, delivering the program on time and on budget.
The implementation of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne focused on ERP Financial capabilities, with configuration and testing centered on core financial ledgers, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, and centralized transaction processing consistent with ERP Financial functional patterns. The project included version upgrade tasks, application configuration, and performance tuning aligned to Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 technical requirements.
Architecturally the deployment relocated the JD Edwards application stack to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and layered Oracle’s Virtual Database Extreme Performance as the database tier to optimize throughput and scalability. The cloud-hosted JD Edwards architecture enabled separation of application and data tiers and supported remote delivery model, with Redfaire consultants working in tandem with CH&CO internal teams to manage cutover sequencing and environment provisioning.
Governance and rollout were executed jointly by CH&CO and Redfaire, with remote project orchestration, phased testing cycles, and coordinated user acceptance activities to maintain financial continuity. The program’s successful completion on time and on budget was attributed to close partnership between CH&CO and Redfaire and the focused upgrade, cloud migration, and database performance workstreams.

MHR Strategic HR serves as the Core HR record of truth and was implemented to coordinate payroll execution workflows, manager facing reporting and system administration responsibilities across payroll, HR and finance functions.
Rollout governance centered on centralized payroll administration in Reading with formalized input procedures, approval steps for manual payments and training cadences for managers. System ownership was placed with the payroll team who perform ongoing configuration, statutory pay maintenance and user support as part of routine operations.
