In 2006, China CITIC Bank International implemented Oracle Database and Oracle Financials as part of an Oracle E-Business Suite deployment classified under ERP Financial. The implementation supported core transaction processing for a commercial bank with 30 branches in Hong Kong, a branch in Macau, a Shenzhen-headquartered subsidiary with mainland branches, and overseas branches in New York, Los Angeles, and Singapore.
The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment centralized customer transactions, payments, and account detail processing and supported the bank’s online financial transaction and reporting functions. Functional coverage focused on financial management workflows within Oracle Financials, and later upgrade considerations emphasized improved user interfaces and expanded form customization available in Oracle Financials Release 12.
Between 2006 and 2010 the bank’s database grew by around 40 percent, a capacity increase that explicitly degraded availability and transaction response times and extended the daily batch window. Daily batch report generation for regulatory and finance reporting lengthened from about one hour to two and a half hours, creating operational pressure on the finance department during periods of heavy system activity.
To address the performance and functionality issues, in November 2010 China CITIC Bank International engaged Oracle Advanced Customer Services to upgrade to Oracle Financials Release 12 and migrate to Oracle Database 11g. The upgrade engagement targeted database platform stabilization, batch processing windows and reporting throughput, and adoption of Release 12 user interface and form customization capabilities to better align ERP Financial operations with the bank’s transaction and regulatory reporting needs.

| In-House Applications | Legacy | In-House ATS | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014, China CITIC Bank International deployed an In-House ATS Applicant Tracking System on its public careers website to capture and manage external candidate applications. The In-House ATS is an internally developed recruiting application used to centralize applicant intake and to present job listings on the bank website.
The implementation scope focused on Talent Acquisition and HR administrative functions, providing a recruiter interface and hiring manager access for requisition posting and candidate review. Core functional capabilities implemented include job requisition management, candidate profile and resume intake, staged applicant status tracking, interview scheduling workflows, and offer documentation modules aligned with Applicant Tracking System workflows.
The In-House ATS was integrated with the China CITIC Bank International careers site to funnel applicant traffic directly into the system, enabling web-based application submission and candidate record creation. Operational coverage emphasizes HR and talent acquisition teams across the bank, enabling centralized management of external hires through the public-facing career portal and internal recruiter consoles.
Governance was structured around role-based access and approval workflows to support recruiter and hiring manager collaboration, with audit trails and staged status transitions typical of banking recruitment controls. Configuration and process orchestration prioritized standardized screening and approval steps, enabling consistent candidate lifecycle handling within the In-House ATS.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Flexcube | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011 China CITIC Bank International implemented Oracle Flexcube as a Core Banking solution. The 2011 deployment centered on payments and remittance automation, with a formal Core Banking upgrade project and subsequent ongoing system enhancement and maintenance support.
Oracle Flexcube was configured to support CHATS and multi-channel outward remittance automation, processing inbound messages from Flexcube, Mobile Bank messaging, and Internet Bank messaging to drive payment orchestration. Functional configuration included logic to convert HOST remittance formats into a Universal Payment Services representation and to split remittance transactions for separated fee and charge posting, aligning transaction posting flows with general ledger posting requirements.
The implementation integrated Oracle Flexcube with IM-IMPACS, ST-Deposit, RM-Customer Information, GL and ATM subsystems to create a consistent transactional backbone across retail and corporate payment channels. Integration points emphasized payment clearing and settlement through CHATS, channel message ingestion from mobile and internet banking, and centralized customer and deposit records for reconciliation and posting.
Governance was structured around the Core Banking upgrade project, with change and enhancement work carried into ongoing maintenance support. Operational impacts focused on payments operations and back office posting workflows, where the split posting and host to universal payment conversion required updates to transaction processing rules and day to day operational procedures.
