SAP Legacy SAP Ariba Invoice AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Circle K implemented SAP Ariba Invoice as part of SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing to centralize invoice processing across its retail operations. The deployment positioned SAP Ariba Invoice within the AP Automation category to strengthen procure-to-pay controls and provide a unified record of purchase and invoice activity for accounts payable and procurement teams. The implementation emphasized AP Automation capabilities typical of a procure-to-pay solution, including electronic invoice capture and validation, automated three-way matching, exception routing and approval workflows, and supplier collaboration via the Ariba supplier network. Configuration work standardized invoice routing and approver hierarchies, and embedded validation rules to reduce manual intervention and improve invoice processing consistency across business units. Operational integration tied procurement and finance workflows into the SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing environment, creating a single source for invoice and purchase data to support spend visibility and policy enforcement. Governance changes focused on aligning approval workflows with finance policy and formalizing exception handling and audit trails, producing the reported outcome of greater visibility and control over spend.

Phenom Legacy Phenom Talent CRM Candidate Relationship Management HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Circle K implemented Phenom Talent CRM to centralize Candidate Relationship Management across its global hiring footprint. The deployment targeted store and office hiring across 12 countries, extended to 17 brands and a multilingual Phenom People Career Site in 10 languages, and supported recruiting across 26 business units and enterprise recruiting functions. The implementation configured Phenom Talent CRM and Phenom People Career Site capabilities for hosted apply workflows, candidate nurture campaigns, talent pooling, employer branding content, and role-based recruiter access. Data analytics dashboards were embedded alongside the CRM to publish weekly talent acquisition metrics, track candidate flow and time in stage, and surface sourcing performance for store level and office level recruiters. Phenom Talent CRM was integrated with an existing ecosystem of talent tools including Workday, Text Recruit, CareerArc, HireVue, Outmatch Assessments, Accurate Background Checks, Harver, LinkedIn Recruiter and Job Slots, Handshake, HireClix, Appcast, Talentify, and CareerBuilder to consolidate candidate records and assessment outcomes. Integration patterns focused on applicant record feeds, ingestion of assessment and interview results, background check verification, and sourcing channel attribution to feed the CRM and analytics layers. Governance and process changes included a global recruiting playbook, weekly KPI reporting to senior leadership, and the creation of differentiated recruiting workflows for store, office, and senior management hiring. Circle K built a global Talent Acquisition team, implemented an office level recruiting function to reduce reliance on external search firms, designed a store level recruiter support system, partnered with Global Development on an internship pipeline, and managed an annual Global Talent Acquisition budget to fund the stack and sourcing programs. Outcomes documented by the implementation included a 30 percent improvement in candidate flow after the first full year and record level candidate flow by month 20. Hosted Apply was installed to improve the candidate experience while enriching analytics used by the Talent Acquisition organization.
