Cityworks, a Trimble Company Legacy Trimble Cityworks AMS Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, City of Allen, TX Department of Utility Billing deployed Trimble Cityworks AMS in the Enterprise Asset Management category to operationalize inspection and work order workflows across the city water system. The deployment supported ongoing utility billing operations and coordinated with Engineering on water and sewer replacement activity in the second phase of Windridge, aligning asset records with field activities and capital repairs. Trimble Cityworks AMS was configured to capture inspection input and to drive work order processing, with functional emphasis on infrastructure condition rating, inspection management, and the work order lifecycle. The implementation included asset registry updates and condition assessment workflows to standardize how field findings are translated into maintenance and replacement work orders. City of Allen contracted Aqua Backflow to provide online reporting for commercial irrigation inspections and backflow reporting, creating a reporting adjacency to Cityworks inputs for irrigation and backflow compliance. Inspection results and program outputs were used for formal reporting to the City Council as part of the commercial and residential irrigation inspection programs, and the work order and inspection streams supported coordination between Utility Billing and Engineering teams. Governance activity in 2022 included establishing EPA mandated risk and resiliency measures for the water system and continuing a strong leak detection program to reduce water loss during the year. The City continued phased implementation and regular operational input into Cityworks asset management software, embedding inspection driven maintenance workflows and compliance reporting into municipal utility operations.
