Infor Legacy Infor CloudSuite HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2023 2024
In 2023, the City of Corpus Christi, TX deployed Infor CloudSuite HCM as a Core HR application. The deployment used a cloud hosted multi tenant ERP platform on Amazon Web Services, establishing an enterprisewide human capital management foundation for human resources and payroll and providing employee self service for paychecks, benefits and expense management. Infor CloudSuite HCM was provisioned alongside resident-facing payment capabilities to enable online and phone based utility transactions and public permit workflows. Functional modules and configuration included payroll, benefits administration, expense management, workforce management and utility billing integration points, plus mobile software for field inspections and remote operations. The city implemented online tools for managing building permit requests, automated blueprint submission processes and accelerated plan review workflows. Infor’s approach keeps software versions synchronized across finance, supply management, human resources, utility billing and workforce management so new features can be inspected in test environments with code turned off by default. The architecture leverages AWS infrastructure for encryption in transit and at rest, servers across three availability zones and backup to regions outside local impact areas to support business continuity for a Gulf Coast municipality. Operational scope covers municipal HR, payroll, finance, permitting, inspections and utility billing departments across the city organization. The environment was positioned to allow future integration of geographic information system capabilities and to onboard advanced automation such as generative AI and robotic process automation. Project governance emphasized securing leadership buy in, prioritizing quick value drivers, comprehensive communications and staff training, detailed process analysis and change management, and exhaustive testing to reduce operational risk. Reported outcomes include fewer complaints about outdated services and improved preparedness for hurricane related continuity, while leaders continue evaluating advanced automation and analytics. The City of Corpus Christi, TX implemented Infor CloudSuite HCM as its Core HR platform to centralize HR and payroll, streamline public services and strengthen data protections.
