In 2020, Clarins implemented Basware AP Automation to centralize and standardize supplier invoice processing as part of its AP Automation initiative. The deployment targeted harmonizing validation workflows and delivering real time visibility on invoice progress to improve accounts payable operations across the group.
The Basware AP Automation implementation configured multi channel invoice ingestion, allowing suppliers to send invoices via a central scanning center or directly by email. The solution ingested PDF, EDI, and XML invoice formats, and automatic invoice matching and standardized validation workflows were established to separate verifier and approver responsibilities.
Working with integration partner Fluxym, Clarins began with pilots in 2018 focused on the IT department and the international training department to validate use cases and cover different invoice typologies and volumes. The pilots proved conclusive and the platform was progressively rolled out across seven commercial entities in France.
Governance and program activities included upstream cleansing of the supplier database, intensive supplier communication and onboarding to the payment portal, and downstream user training for circa 400 internal users. Strong sponsorship from the CFO and appointed project ambassadors reinforced adoption and transparent communications enabled stakeholders to track invoice status and inform suppliers in real time.
By the end of 2019 the rollout covered around 30,000 annual invoices with approximately 300 verifiers and 100 approvers, and more than 1,000 suppliers had registered on the Basware portal. Clarins used Basware AP Automation to unify supplier invoice processing and provide supplier self service for invoice delivery verification within its accounts payable function.

| CrossKnowledge | Legacy | CK Connect | Learning and Development | HCM | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, Clarins implemented CK Connect as a pilot Learning and Development platform. The CrossKnowledge solution, branded internally as Clarins ePro, launched in September 2011 and was provisioned for about 4,000 staff across Canada, Europe and Russia as the initial deployment.
The implementation emphasized core learning modules including a centralized content portal to place resources at trainer disposal, synchronous and asynchronous communication with trainers, non-mandatory course modules for local adaptation, and learner tracking tools to capture participation and assessment data. Clarins is also looking to introduce new functional aspects, in particular collaborative features using social networking and discussion forums, to extend the platform beyond formal eLearning workflows.
Operational delivery is structured around locally managed specialist teams, who receive platform administration and usage training through the CrossKnowledge Academy online sessions. The rollout plan envisions expansion to Spain, Italy and Germany, a pilot in Singapore, and broader deployment throughout Asia, aligning regional rollout with locally governed training strategies and content curation.
Governance was configured to keep subsidiary training departments in control of non-mandatory modules and overall training strategy, while centralized learner tracking enables training teams to analyze training data and adapt modules based on expected and actual results. The portal architecture supports regular trainer communications and resource distribution, with local administration layered over the CrossKnowledge CK Connect service to maintain operational ownership and visibility.

| Infor | Legacy | Infor M3 | Manufacturing ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, Clarins implemented Infor M3 as their Manufacturing ERP to establish a centralized platform for manufacturing, inventory and supply chain operations. The Infor M3 rollout was positioned as a project to deliver a new ERP solution across the consumer packaged goods environment and to rationalize core operational processes.
Configuration and module focus centered on manufacturing execution, inventory management, procurement workflows and finance-facing transaction flows consistent with Manufacturing ERP deployments. Confluence and JIRA were adopted for documentation control and incident tracking during the program, while Cognos was used for data analytics to provide operational reporting and BI support tied to the ERP data model.
The program included process harmonization efforts on the existing AS400 ERP and the JD Edwards accounting system to align process definitions, master data and transaction handling with Infor M3. Operational coverage extended to retail systems, with the point of sale estate managed via Pivotal and Cegid, and the rollout emphasized system touchpoints between M3, POS operations and financial ledgers to preserve end-to-end order to cash and procure to pay flows.
Governance for the rollout relied on standardized process templates, issue triage and incident lifecycle management using JIRA, with Confluence serving as the single source for rollout documentation and runbooks. The implementation narrative highlights cross-functional impact on manufacturing, finance, IT and retail operations, and frames Infor M3 as the core Manufacturing ERP around which harmonization and analytics capabilities were organized.
