Configuration emphasized a central management console, endpoint telemetry and behavioral detection, policy enforcement via group policy driven configurations, and automated alerting and investigation workflows consistent with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities. Operational rollout and governance were executed by the senior system administrator and senior network administrator, using AD based GPOs and segmented network design to stage deployment across private VLANs on Cisco switching infrastructure. The estate included Windows desktops and notebooks historically managed through WSUS and CA ArcServe backup processes, with documented coexistence of Trend Micro Officescan and earlier Kaspersky Endpoint Security installations in the environment prior to the 2018 consolidation. The implementation focused on channeling endpoint telemetry into a unified console for IT operations and security monitoring, integrating with the organizations existing directory, patching and virtualization stacks, and instituting centralized policy management under existing IT governance structures. |
