Sterling Background Check was configured to manage end to end screening packages, including background checks, drug testing, vaccine verification and release form distribution as part of the onboarding lifecycle.
The implementation centered on screening package creation and launch, candidate portal submissions, and results dispositioning. Functional capabilities implemented included creation of custom screening packages, vendor portal submission and status tracking, clinic coordination for drug and vaccine testing, distribution and collection of release forms, and billing reconciliation linked to screening transactions.
Sterling Background Check was integrated into Clayco onboarding orchestration with explicit touchpoints to the applicant tracking and electronic onboarding stack, including Able electronic paperwork workflows, Form I9 verification workflows and E Verify related checks. Operational integrations and handoffs were established with Accounting for billing and payroll readiness, HR for employment document verification, recruiters and account executives for placement status updates, and vendor points of contact at PGC and People 2.0 to troubleshoot portal and change request flows.
Governance and process changes focused on structured onboarding controls, including a mapping system to track active onboardings, step by step process documentation for AE and recruiter responsibilities, standardized email templates, and daily project onboarding trackers. Change request handling for contract extensions, terminations and rehires was routed through the screening vendor portal and internal trackers, and technical support coordination was formalized with Able and Eight Eleven support teams to resolve integration errors.
