In 2017 ClearView implemented Oracle Cloud ERP, a targeted ERP Financial deployment led by KPMG. The project replaced Oracle PeopleSoft ERP and was scoped to centralize finance and tax ledger processes for the Australian life insurance and wealth management firm ClearView.
KPMG executed the migration using its Oracle Cloud Implementation methodology and completed the rollout in five months. The consultant migrated seven years of ClearView data into Oracle Cloud ERP and connected that cloud environment with existing on-premises systems, transferring core processes including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets and tax data.
The resulting architecture is a hybrid configuration that pairs Oracle Cloud ERP with retained on-premises systems, requiring integration work to reconcile migrated historical ledgers and ongoing operational feeds. KPMG positioned the engagement as a systems integration milestone for the local market, demonstrating a compressed project timeline compared with traditional large scale finance system projects.
Operational impact focused on finance and tax functions, with governance and process changes centered on consolidation of ledger processing and accounts payable workflows. The program responsibility remained with KPMG during migration and cutover, and ClearView moved to Oracle Cloud ERP as its core ERP Financial platform following the five month implementation.
