| Damco Solutions | Legacy | Damco InsureEdge | Insurance ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2022 | 2022 | In 2022, Co-Operators General Insurance Barbados implemented Damco InsureEdge, an Insurance ERP delivered by Damco Solutions. The engagement is documented under a project that also included work for New India Assurance in Trinidad & Tobago, and was staffed by a cross-functional team of 15 plus software developers, testers, business analysts and designers led by a Damco Solutions technical lead based in Faridabad, Haryana. The Damco InsureEdge implementation used a Microsoft centered application architecture, leveraging ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API and Web Forms with C#.NET, jQuery and JavaScript on the front end, and MS SQL Server on the data tier. Data access and persistence patterns were implemented with Entity Framework, Dapper and LINQ, and automated unit testing was supported with xUnit, while issue and backlog management used JIRA. The deployment included production DB and web server provisioning and Jenkins pipeline automation for build and release orchestration. Functional coverage followed Insurance ERP category norms and was configured to support core insurance workflows, including policy administration, claims processing, billing and financial accounting, and underwriting support, with implementation of application modules, configuration scripts and business rule instrumentation. The program included active involvement in data migration from the old system into Damco InsureEdge, and execution oversight for unit testing, user acceptance testing, regression and integration test cases. Operational runtime tasks included scheduled jobs via Windows Task Scheduler and production troubleshooting. Project governance emphasized agile delivery practices, client-facing requirements gathering, user story monitoring, resource allocation and code review processes. Technical documentation deliverables included technical guidelines, product functional descriptions, UML diagrams and flow charts, and the team performed ongoing production support activities such as Jenkins pipeline setup, code reviews and incident resolution. |
