| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2010 | 2011 |
In 2010 Collinson Group implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment established a centralized SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance to govern core financial controls and accounting throughput across the business.
Configuration work emphasized standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, period close workflows, and financial reporting and consolidation modules. Implementation efforts focused on chart of accounts design, posting logic, cost center and profit center configuration, and interfacing points for transactional financial data to support accounting and treasury workflows.
Subsequent application work tied commercial front-end projects to the SAP finance layer, notably a Columbus Direct initiative between October 2018 and March 2019 that implemented a new back-end system integrated with the SAP finance system and migrated customer legacy data into the target database to improve current and new processes. Project governance and delivery included market analysis, feasibility and cost-benefit studies prior to initiation, conversion of business requirements into technical specifications, support for Agile ceremonies with the Scrum Master, and Agile methodology training for cross-functional teams, with the front-end redesign driving greater engagement and a more intuitive customer buying journey.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Business Objects XI R3.1 | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2009 | 2010 |
In 2009 Collinson Group deployed SAP Business Objects XI R3.1 for Analytics and BI to centralize enterprise reporting and meet evolving business reporting requirements. The implementation targeted organization-wide reporting governance, with a prioritized roll-out into the Insurance segment to provide executive and operational visibility.
The SAP Business Objects XI R3.1 environment delivered core reporting, ad hoc report authoring, universe design, scheduled publishing, and the development of dashboards and mobile reporting capabilities, accompanied by structured user training to drive adoption. The team managed report cataloguing and publication workflows to expand the scope of Business Objects use throughout the business.
The deployment worked closely with DBAs on the development of a Data Warehouse to standardize data feeds, align data models, and support ETL handoffs that underpin the Business Objects reporting layer. Operational coverage included business analysts and reporting consumers across functions, with dedicated support and tailored dashboards for the Insurance segment.
Governance was exercised by a dedicated SAP Business Objects team that liaised with business stakeholders to fulfill reporting requirements, managed change control for reports, and delivered user enablement. That team also headed the effort that successfully implemented dashboards and mobile reporting capabilities for the Insurance segment, extending Analytics and BI access to mobile and executive audiences.
