Infor Legacy Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Enterprise Edition) Manufacturing ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2023 2023
In 2023, Georgia-Pacific Packaging & Cellulose implemented Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Enterprise Edition) as a Manufacturing ERP solution. The deployment used Infor's multi-tenant cloud environment powered by the M3 ERP core, and the initial phase focused on the Cellulose business and its four large pulp mills that operate 24/7. The implementation included the Infor M3 ERP core and edge applications such as Supply Chain Planning, Enterprise Performance Management, Factory Track, and Yard Management, with the platform covering order management, customer experience, supply chain and accounting. The rollout also introduced a web enabled partner portal, sales, services and marketing automation, and e commerce capabilities to provide end to end order visibility. Operational coverage extended beyond the mills to international offices in Switzerland, Uruguay and China and the Atlanta headquarters, collectively serving customers in more than 90 countries and integrating with 24 international and 33 domestic external warehouses. The program consolidated disparate processes onto a common platform and enabled retirement of more than 90 percent of the previously used legacy applications, while the initial phase was completed without disruption to scheduled production. Governance adjustments centered on establishing centers of excellence and aligning processes to a single core platform to standardize order to cash, customer service, supply chain planning and financial workflows. A subsequent phase was planned for the Containerboard business, scoped to include five additional 24/7 mills and roughly 70 warehouses, indicating a phased enterprise rollout approach. Explicitly stated business outcomes include improved business processes through best practice integration for order management and accounting, a single source of truth for advanced analytics, and an enhanced customer experience driven by the partner portal and e commerce features. The move to a multi tenant cloud environment was presented as reducing hardware upgrade and maintenance costs and enabling greater operational flexibility and scalability.

Infor Legacy Infor SCM Supply Chain Management SCM n/a 2023 2023
In 2023, Georgia-Pacific Packaging & Cellulose implemented Infor SCM as part of an enterprise Supply Chain Management deployment, deploying Infor CloudSuite powered by the M3 ERP core across its mill-based operations. The rollout established a multi-tenant cloud architecture as the primary technology platform for the Cellulose business and introduced Infor SCM alongside edge applications to consolidate order, fulfillment and financial processes. The initial phase configured Infor SCM with explicit modules including Supply Chain Planning, Enterprise Performance Management, Factory Track and Yard Management, while M3 ERP and associated edge applications were provisioned to cover order management, customer experience, supply chain and accounting. The deployment also enabled a web-enabled partner portal and state of the art sales, services and marketing automation with e-commerce capabilities to provide end to end order visibility and improved predictability in order fulfillment. Operational scope included four large pulp mills operating 24 hours a day, international offices in Switzerland, Uruguay and China, the Atlanta headquarters and connections to 24 international and 33 domestic external warehouses serving customers in more than 90 countries. The implementation was executed without disruption to scheduled production and positioned Infor SCM and M3 as the single core platform for mill operations and related support centers. Governance changes emphasized consolidation of disparate processes, establishment of centers of excellence and creation of a single source of truth for advanced analytics and decision making. The program documented intentions to reduce application sprawl by eliminating more than 90 percent of prior applications, and to leverage the multi-tenant cloud model to lower hardware upgrade and maintenance overhead while enabling greater scalability and faster adoption of new innovations. Phase two is planned to extend the platform to the Containerboard business, covering additional mills and warehousing footprint.
