Tungsten Automation Legacy Kofax AP Essentials (formerly ReadSoft Online) AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2022 2022 In 2022 Community Choice Financial deployed Kofax AP Essentials (formerly ReadSoft Online) to standardize Accounts Payable functions as part of its AP Automation program. The rollout was executed with vendor Tungsten Automation and focused on operationalizing invoice throughput and approver workflows across the bank’s accounting teams. Configuration work centered on invoice capture, coding, review and approval workflows, and exception handling within Kofax AP Essentials. The implementation specifically supported daily AP tasks such as coding and approving invoices, and was configured to align approval touchpoints with senior accountant review and journal entry validation workflows. The solution was used alongside bank reconciliation processes, including Excel based reconciliations and T-Reconciliation software, and it fed into General Ledger reconciliation activities performed by the accounting team. Operational coverage included store accounting for Colorado, Oregon, and Washington markets, fixed assets accounting for US Speedy Cash locations, and support for Texas CSO reporting requirements. Governance and process controls emphasized month end, quarter end, and year end reconciliation and closings, with senior accountants responsible for reviewing and approving journal entries and AP coding in the system. The accounting team also identified and developed incremental process improvements for store accounting and AP anchored to the Kofax AP Essentials deployment.
