| Acumatica | Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise | Acumatica Cloud ERP | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | Cortekx HGL | 2017 | 2017 | In 2017, Consolidated West Distributing implemented Acumatica Cloud ERP, replacing Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise to resolve a persistent disconnect between its specialized produce sales software and accounting processes. The implementation positioned Acumatica Cloud ERP as the company’s ERP Financial system, centralizing core accounting and reporting to eliminate manual reconciliation work previously required by the finance team. The deployment focused on core financial modules including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and enhanced financial reporting. Acumatica Cloud ERP was configured to accept transactional feeds from the firm’s specialized sales application, enabling automatic flow of sales data into accounting and creating a full audit trail. The implementation leveraged Acumatica’s licensing model that allows unlimited users, and enabled remote access for finance staff to monitor cash, receivables and payables in real time. Integrations were explicit and technical, Consolidated West integrated Acumatica Cloud ERP with Advanced Technology Innovations Produce Broker Pro to remove redundant entry and maintain data fidelity between sales and accounting. Cortekx HGL served as the Acumatica partner for the implementation and is developing business intelligence by linking Acumatica to Microsoft PowerBI for operational dashboards. The project preserved hosting flexibility, reflecting Acumatica’s ability to run in hosted cloud environments or on-premises infrastructures and support remote access via web browser or remote desktop platforms. Governance and process changes accompanied the technical work, centralized accounting became the authoritative source for financial statements, and workflows were adjusted to stop manual double-entry between sales and accounting. The integration established checks and balances with a full audit trail, simplifying quarterly financial reporting for banking requirements. Cortekx HGL provided implementation support and ongoing BI development to sustain the new workflows. Results documented by the company include elimination of 100 percent of double-data entry and an automated financial data flow that cut data-entry time in half, improved reporting accuracy and reduced time required to produce financial statements. Consolidated West reported improved operational visibility and easier monitoring of profitability as direct outcomes of the Acumatica Cloud ERP ERP Financial deployment. |
