In 2021, Contexa implemented SAP Business One SCM to centralize planning and inventory control across its manufacturing operations. The deployment targeted Supply Chain Management functions and explicitly supported supply chain planning and procurement workflows. Implementation configured core MRP and forecast capabilities and established master data for items, bills of materials, and suppliers. The project enabled forecasts system-wide, included a strategic shift from make-to-order to make-to-stock, and delivered procurement support tools to standardize purchasing processes. Warehouse capabilities were extended by implementing picking and kitting methodology and a stock floor system aligned to lean management practices. Operational scope encompassed supply chain planning, procurement, warehouse and production teams, and included management of a physical stock move to a new factory in Geneva. SAP Business One SCM was used as the locus for Sales and Operations Planning meetings, embedding S&OP cadence into ongoing operational governance. Contexa designated a SAP Business Owner to support the SAP migration, lead training and change management, and build the supply chain roadmap. That owner also defined business requirements and managed testing for new features and releases to sustain governance and continuous configuration.
