In 2011, Cook Nuclear Plant implemented WorkForce EmpCenter FM as its Fatigue Management application. Deployment centered on the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant site and covered a small employee base of approximately 40 staff, with WorkForce EmpCenter FM configured to manage covered workers' hours and enforce fatigue-related scheduling controls.
Functional configuration of WorkForce EmpCenter FM emphasized monitoring working hours for covered workers, maintaining procedural compliance for maintenance work packages, and handling user lifecycle administrative tasks to activate and terminate employees. The implementation included fatigue management database workflows for notifications and scheduling, and assigned Administrative Support staff to day-to-day system administration and monitoring.
The deployment integrated WorkForce EmpCenter FM with the Nantel training system for scheduling, tracking, notifying, and proctoring required training, with staff operating as Proctor/Administrative Proctor to oversee required certifications. Operational governance updated work package and training processes to require EmpCenter monitoring as part of maintenance and administrative support activities at the plant, and accountable roles were established to maintain procedural compliance and training records.
