Covance implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP in 2008 to centralize corporate finance processing and support Corporate Partner Functions. The deployment was managed by the Global Applications organization responsible for HR, Legal, Finance and Marketing, with ownership for development, support, budget and strategic planning of Global applications.
Oracle PeopleSoft ERP was configured to deliver PeopleSoft Financials capabilities for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and budgeting, aligning corporate accounting and budget workflows with category-standard ERP Financial functionality. Configurations tied financial ledgers to PeopleSoft HCM data for payroll cost allocation and were adapted to support corporate reporting and budget management requirements.
The implementation integrated with Covance’s proprietary CMS, which maintained interfaces to SalesForce and PeopleSoft Financials platforms, enabling data handoffs between proposal, sales and finance systems. Operational coverage extended to production support across on-shore and off-shore teams, oversight of the Learning Management System, the Business Continuity solution and other enterprise-wide hosted or cloud-based applications, with coordinated support for PeopleSoft HCM and ServiceNow alongside PeopleSoft Financials.
Governance emphasized SDLC and change control, weekly cross-functional meetings between application support and IT project management, and Life Cycle Management planning including resource planning, contract negotiations and upgrade sequencing for the application technology stack. The team led the technical and functional transition of ServiceNow support to TCS and Covance resources, implemented enhanced application monitoring, process owner engagement and an enterprise communications plan, reducing support costs by $450K annually, while executive participation on the ITSM Steering Committee provided centralized oversight of Oracle PeopleSoft ERP across finance and adjacent business functions.

| Infinite Computer Solutions | Legacy | Infinite BrassRing ( Formerly IBM Kenexa BrassRing ) | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Covance implemented Infinite BrassRing ( Formerly IBM Kenexa BrassRing ) as its Applicant Tracking System. The deployment served talent acquisition for the Bio-Analytical Department and supported full cycle recruiters and talent advisors working in partnership with business leaders to meet hiring goals and deadlines.
Infinite BrassRing ( Formerly IBM Kenexa BrassRing ) was configured to support end-to-end candidate lifecycle management, including job requisition creation and management, job posting on external job boards and social media platforms, confidential candidate record tracking, phone screening workflows, and interview scheduling. Recruiters used the system to create and manage job postings, review internal, external, and referral candidates, and coordinate with sourcing specialists to grow pipelines for hard to fill positions.
Operational coverage centered on the Bio-Analytical Department, with recruiting coordinators leveraging the Applicant Tracking System to schedule onsite interviews and onboard new hires, and sourcing specialists collaborating to increase candidate flow. The implementation was embedded in recurring governance and operational cadences, with weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings, conference calls, and job launch calls between management and the recruiting support team to align operational needs and marketing data.
Governance focused on tracking and monitoring confidential candidate information within the ATS and defining recruiter and coordinator responsibilities for scheduling and onboarding, aligning system workflows with role-based responsibilities and established recruiting processes. The narrative describes an enterprise Applicant Tracking System deployment concentrating on standardized requisition workflows, candidate tracking, and cross-functional coordination between talent acquisition and business leaders.
