In 2018, CPI Card Group implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform to support the Card@Once team and broader business domains including Financials, Order/Inventory Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. The implementation positioned an ERP Engineer II as the primary architecture and support resource, responsible for solution design, configuration, training, and operational support across production and sandbox NetSuite environments.
The deployment leveraged Oracle NetSuite ERP native SuiteCloud technologies, including SuiteScript for back end customization and SuiteFlow for workflow automation, with heavy use of custom fields, forms, records, saved searches, dashboards, and role based access controls. Full life cycle activities were performed, covering requirements gathering, solution architecture, development, testing, release management, and post deployment support, with the ERP Engineer II performing hands on coding and configuration work as needed.
Integrations were treated as first class components of the NetSuite ecosystem, with the ERP Engineer II serving as the subject matter expert for NetSuite integrations and orchestrating data and related systems integration projects specific to NetSuite, while documenting integration points and execution order. Operational coverage included collaboration with cross functional teams and users at all levels, plus regular engagement with internal and external auditors to provide compliance related support for SOX and HIPPA requirements.
Governance and change control were enforced through sandbox testing and integrity testing of system upgrades and development releases prior to migration to production, formal documentation of business requirements and system specifications, and end user training and process documentation. The implementation emphasized maintaining NetSuite configuration hygiene through ongoing system maintenance, workflow optimization, and centralized ownership of customizations to support accounting, manufacturing, and warehouse management functions within the ERP Financial environment.

In 2016, CPI Card Group implemented Oracle OBIEE under an Analytics and BI initiative. The deployment leveraged Oracle BI Cloud Service to provision Oracle OBIEE capabilities and to centralize reporting and interactive analytics on a hosted Oracle platform.
Configuration focused on Oracle OBIEE core components, including the BI Server, Presentation Services, the RPD repository and Answers and Dashboards for self service reporting. The implementation emphasized semantic modeling, catalog configuration and scheduled data refresh orchestration to support governed datasets and repeatable report delivery.
Operational coverage targeted enterprise reporting for finance and operations teams, aligning BI content to corporate KPIs and regular financial reporting workflows. Connections were established via data integration feeds and scheduled loads into the OBIEE environment to enable consolidated reporting and shared analytic datasets.
Governance centered on a centralized semantic layer, security roles and access controls to enforce consistent metric definitions and to manage report entitlements. Rollout followed phased content publication and user enablement, with administrators applying repository change control and release windows to maintain stability of the Oracle OBIEE environment.
